I am a social scientist with 8+ years of experience designing surveys, recruiting participants, applying survey methodology, and conducting advanced quantitative analysis.  I currently work as a research analyst at Aledade's Impact Analytics team. I have strong quantitative data science skills encompassing survey sampling and design, bias adjustment, power analysis, longitudinal analysis, and causal inference analysis using Stata, Python, SQL, and SAS.

My research centers around two related themes: Aging as an interpersonal phenomenon and how the accumulation of social risk factors leads to health disparities in later adulthood. My doctoral training received from an interdisciplinary gerontology program has laid an excellent foundation for conducting applied research at the individual, community, and international levels to generate high-quality evidence to address the issues of an aging society. As a graduate student, I have explored the topics of ageism, bereavement, and support exchanges among older adults and their family members. My postdoctoral training at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), as well as the changes in public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, led me to expand my research focus to the persistence of digital inequality among Medicare beneficiaries. Findings from these studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as The Gerontologist, Journal of Marriage and Family,  Journals of Gerontology Series B: Psychological and Social Science, and Journal of the American Geriatrics Society
